DON’T BUY A HOUSE! I’m serious. Don’t buy a house until you’ve got a family or a reason to own a house. Its a big pain in the ass. The cost of ownership has far outweighed any tax benefit I have gotten in the last 10 years. New roof, two heating/AC units, paint, giant tree destroying the neighborhood, relandscapping to keep the water away from the house, and the list goes on…

Walked into the office this afternoon and I thought I walked into an Indiana Jones movie. Bugs everywhere. I should have taken a picture, but I was so freaked out I didn’t even think about it. I got the benefit of a full on termite swarm in my house. After some vacuuming frenzy I found out they were coming out of a hole under my desk. Which means, they are in the walls. JOY!

Between this and being sick, what a lame ass week.

On my random surfing of the web (while working on Saturday) I came across these guys via the advrider.com forums.   Basically they decided to deliver a pizza.   But wait!   Not just deliver a pizza, but do it on a motorcycle.   There’s more!   From Johannesburg to London.   You’ll have to check it out for yourself.   Its pretty entertaining!

Fires once again. I was just reading an article on how the water table in San Diego county has dropped from 400 to 1400 feet up in the hills. That means the plants and trees are getting no water and are pretty much fire fuel. Sad…

Apparently this OTHER Jason Liebrecht is an actor of some sort. I guess I could pull a joke on people and say “I” had been in a movie. I should contact him and say “Yo! You’ve got my name!”

We’ve all got demons that haunt our days. Some days they eat parts of your soul, other days you win something back from their grasp. I’ve made my choices and made mistakes that got me to where I am. Only thing I can advise my friends of “Don’t let the Demons get you” Eventually, you may have so many of them, or a few so strong they drown you in your own personal hell.

So, Gregg turned me onto this today. I think we’re going to have to do it. This has to be one of the most awesome things ever. Take a look.

So, I can’t take credit for finding this. A co-worker showed me this. Its pretty amazing to watch and you’ll need about 50 minutes to do it. But, you’ll come away with a new appreciation for what the human mind can do, and what can be done to the human mind. Basically Darren Brown through a series of sessions attempts to get 4 people to rob a security guard of 100,000 British Pounds. If you’ve got the time, give it a watch.
